Ministries at Grace
1 Corinthians 12:12 "Just as the body, though one has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ".
The Children's Ministry equips children with the knowledge and understanding of God's love and the assurance that by the blood of Jesus Christ, they have direct access to the throne of God. The ministry provides opportunities to spread the Good News of Christ, educate them about their Christian responsibility to live holy, to be a beacon in the dark and to always put Christ first in their lives. This is accomplished through t=in reach, outreach and fellowship projects and events.
The Communications Ministry continually develops a dynamic ongoing process of communications, which guides the congregation in its mission and ministry of making disciples for Jesus Christ. The ministry assists the church in external communications and enhances the multi-media tools used internally to minister to all seeking God's Word.
The Education Ministry prepares God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be build up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of Christ.
The Evangelism Ministry empowers the children of God with the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of His divine purpose for their lives. The goal is to make disciples in and outside of the church and community by teaching and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and the things of God.
Family Life and Young Adult Ministry
The Family Life and Young Adult Ministry established a strong family support system through the Work of God, in which people in need can find strength and support in the day to day struggles and needs in a family unit.
The Grandparents Ministry offers support to grandparents, seniors and anyone in need of assistance to improve their situation, by providing resources and information about programs and services relating to numerous areas of concern.
Holistic Health Ministry
The Holistic Health Ministry assists people in identifying strongholds that keep them in bondage. Truths are offered through scripture, participatory exercises, workshops, seminars and retreats, that break bond of slavery and lead persons to God's purpose for their lives. Holistic health information concerning the body, mind, sound and environment is disseminated.
The Laity Ministry serves as a liaison between the congregation and the pastors; to develop a sense of community within the church family; and to keep the laity (lay person) informed about educational and training opportunities.
Liturgical Dance Ministry
The Liturgical Dance Ministry witnesses to others about the wonderful power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the celebration of dance, through outreach, fellowship and events.
Mansfield Scholarship Ministry
The Mansfield Scholarship Ministry is established for recent high school graduates and enrolled undergraduates to encourage and assist members and/or active participants* of Grace United Methodist Church so that they may become an asset to the community and nation. The ministry helps meet students' financial obligations and enhances them academically and spiritually in their studies and careers.
The ministry provides applications with guidelines, educational materials, speakers (inspirational and motivational), seminars, workshops, and college fellowship hours. Information is provided to students regarding the educational process about colleges and scholarships as early as middle school. Its goal is to encourage all students to attain a higher education, which includes both members and/or active participants of Grace.
*Active participants are persons who attend worship services regularly at Grace, pray daily, and give of their talents, but are not members of Grace United Methodist Church.
Membership Care Ministry
The Membership Care Ministry is committed to serve the church membership, family and friends by administering God's grace through visiting homes, hospitals and nursing homes, sending cards and notes for all occasions, providing emotional and spiritual support to the bereaved, and tutoring those seeking assistance with reading and writing.
The Nursing Ministry helps members of the congregation and the church community to become more aware of their health to attain and maintain whole person wellness of body, mind and spirit.
Outreach Services and Resource Ministry
The Outreach Services and Resource Ministry encourages the church family to show God's love through serving people in need.
The Reclamation Ministry reclaims lost souls and brings them back to Christ. The ministry is committed to keeping watch over new members and frequent visitors. Fellowship outings are planned to show the commitment of love and support to Grace's members and friends as souls are brought to Christ.
Seed of Hope Ministry
The Seed of Hope Ministry plants a seed of hope that helps people endure through a life of strongholds and addiction. By faith, the ministry accomplishes this mission through the spiritual guidance and principles of God's Word and a traditional twelve-step program. By faith, it sets the captive free from a seemingly hopeless state of mind, by planting a seed of hope. The ministry provides encouragement and love that will help other people endure by the renewing of their minds. By faith, the ministry equips people with a positive attitude, thereby, creating a powerful force in their lives, which is Christ Jesus.
Single Parenting Ministry
The Single Parenting Ministry equips men and women with the knowledge and understanding of God's love (His Word). It provides support so that they may begin to heal from their past wounds and mistakes. Training is provided on the fruit of the Spirit, discipline and the work force to equip them with the necessary tools to protect and provide for their families God's way.
The Singles Ministry allows God to use the singles in Christ as living, witnessing vessels to serve Grace and the surrounding communities by showing the impact of living God-centered lives.
The Time Ministry
The Mission of "TIME" Ministry is to be the conduit in assisting those in promoting an improved mental health well-being. Additionally, the environment and approach will always be supportive, discreet, and non-judgmental in nature.
United Methodist Men
The United Methodist Men's Ministry assists men to become strong leaders in the church and in the community by their service and through reclamation.
United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Youth Ministry – Teens for Christ
The Teens for Christ Ministry empowers youth by ministering to their spiritual, emotional and personal needs. It also seeks to win souls for Christ through in-reach and outreach, creating stronger youth witnesses and youth leaders in the church.
